Goal
Quantify performance differences between equipment setups (e.g., TT vs Road with different wheels).
What is an equipment setup?
A Rider Setup + its selected wheel options (e.g., multiple front/rear wheel + tyre choices).
You need to compare at least two equipment setups; pick one as the baseline in results.
Context matters
If you want to compare between different versions of the same optimizations setups, use the same course (enforced by the platform), segmentation, wind, and (optionally) the pacing context.
Best practice: launch equipment optimization from a pacing result so the pacing is realistic.
Options & base choice
Select multiple wheel pairs and mark the Base wheel/tyre that aligns with your CdA/weight assumptions in your rider setup.
Iteration & versions
Adjust option sets (e.g., add a new tyre) and run again → save as versions for clean comparisons.
How to read results (at a glance)
Overview ranks setups by total time; confirm the intended baseline.
Compare shows where gains happen by Duration/Speed/Power and by Segments/Groups.
Graph view of Δ-duration across distance validates the story (e.g., aero wins on headwind flats).
