An Event represents a target race: a course plus a race date. Link your pacing and equipment optimizations to an event to keep all your race-day strategies for that race in one place.
Left sidebar → Your collections → Events.
On the start page, Your upcoming events lists your future events (and your favourite official events) with their linked optimizations. Optimizations for a future date that aren't linked to an event are shown under Standalone optimizations.
Go to Events → Create new event.
Step 1 of 2: enter the Event name (e.g. Ironman Frankfurt 2026) and the Date.
Step 2 of 2: select a course from your collection, or click Create new course to upload one.
Click Create event.
You can also create an event directly in an optimization: in the Event & course step, use Create new event (next to Load event).
Course: the course of the event. Official (public) courses can't be edited here: “Edit not permitted because this is a public course.”
Optimizations: all pacing and equipment optimizations linked to this event.
Create new optimization ▾:
Pacing — “Find the best pacing strategy for this race day”
Equipment — “Compare different setups for this course”
Rename the event with the pencil icon.
The event's course is loaded into the optimization.
In the Wind step, the date is locked to the event date. You only choose the start time (default 08:00) — see Wind — Concepts.
An equipment optimization started from a pacing result (Optimize equipment) stays linked to the same event.
Load event is offered in the Event & course step as long as no course is loaded yet. If the optimization already has a course and no results, remove it via the course card's … menu → Remove, then choose Load event.
Official events are public races prepared by Swiss Side with an official course.
Click the star on any event to Add to favorites; favourite official events appear in Your upcoming events on the start page.
Filter the events list with Favorites only, Event type (Official / Custom), With optimizations and Upcoming, and sort by date.
Use the event's actions menu in the Events list and choose Delete (available for your own events, not official ones). You can only delete an event when no optimizations are linked to it — delete or unlink those optimizations first.
Tip: Create the event as soon as you've signed up for a race. When race week comes, open the event, update the wind forecast in your optimizations and run them again.
